Who Is Kenji?

Kenji Homepage
Kenji is an Instagram bot that promises to help users grow their accounts by mimicking human behavior.

According to the website, the bot uses real phones to perform actions on your account, such as following other users and engaging with their content.

This, they claim, will help your business to grow. However, there are some concerns about safety and effectiveness.

First, it is not clear how Kenji obtains the phone numbers that it uses to create accounts. Second, there is no way to verify that the bot is only following real people and not spam accounts.

Finally, using bots can get you banned from the platform for breaching Instagram’s terms and conditions.

Our Kenji review will take a look at its features and attempt to determine if it is safe and effective.

How To Get Started With the Kenji Instagram Bot

Kenji Email Sign-Up

Enter Your Email Address

The first step to getting started with the Kenji Instagram growth service is to enter your email address on the homepage.

Once you have entered your email address, you will be taken to a page where you fill out the rest of the required information.

Create an Account

To create an account with Kenji, all they ask for is a username and password.

At no point during this process do they ask for your Instagram account handle which means that it’s either an open money-grab or you will have to provide it further down the line — after payment of course.

Choose a Plan and Check Out

Next, you will be presented with two options — the Simple and Pro plans.

The main difference between the two is that the Pro plan gives you access to more features like better support, more targeting types, and smart auto optimizations.

None of the extra features that warrant a higher price tag get explained though, so it’s hard to tell what exactly you will be paying for.

Kenji doesn’t offer a free trial which is pretty frustrating because it’s impossible to know if the platform works or not without trying it out first.

The only way to find out is to commit to a paid plan and hope for the best.

During checkout, you will provide more basic info until you arrive at the payment page. We know these pages don’t have to be particularly flashy or informative, but Kenji’s one looks especially bleak.

There is no assurance of a safe transaction or any other information, which is a huge red flag.

Kenji Features

Kenji Features
On the “How it Works” page, Kenji outlines the main features of their platform.

These include Follow & Unfollow, Instagram AutoLikes, Whitelisting, and Blacklisting.

Let’s take a closer look at each one.

Instagram Follow Bot

This is the main function of the bot.

You can set it to follow a certain number of users per day and also unfollow people who don’t follow you back.

The bot will run constantly in the background, performing these actions until you tell it to stop.

Follow / Unfollow

Kenji claims that the Follow & Unfollow method is the most effective way to grow your Instagram account.

They say that by following a large number of users, you’ll get more active followers in return.

While this may be true, it’s also considered spammy behavior and can get you banned from Instagram.

In Kenji’s case, they also follow in batches, apparently maximizing performance, but also making sure that Instagram flags up your account faster than you can say “Instagram engagement”.

Finally, the biggest issue with this function is the fact that it is pre-programmed and mandatory, meaning you can’t switch it off if it was messing with your account.

Targeting

Kenji boasts that thanks to machine learning their bots can utilize smart targeting on the fly, which is a great way to get more followers.

The idea is that the bot will learn from your posts and target people who are more likely to be interested in what you’re posting, which should result in more followers.

However, this function is also incredibly intrusive as it requires access to all of your posts and likes, as well as targeting preferences as it optimizes your own settings.

According to Kenji FAQ’s they plan out your targeted users over the first few days of you opening an account, which then runs on automated machine learning algorithms.

Instagram Auto Liker

Sounds like a dream, right? You can sit back and relax, while your target audience gets all of your likes automatically, propelling you into the spotlight.

Well, not so much.

The AutoLike feature has no limit and will keep running 24/7 liking everything that is remotely related to your niche.

Again, because it’s an automated process, this is a sure-fire way to get noticed by Instagram. And not in a good way.

Auto Reacting

Instagram Live may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but according to Kenji reacting to Live’s is an underrated marketing technique.

While it’s somewhat true, when it’s controlled by a bot, it’s also a risky move.

Reacting to Instagram Live videos is a great way to get noticed by the person who is hosting the Live.

But if you’re using a bot to do it, there’s a chance that the host will figure it out and report you, which could lead to getting your account banned.

Insta Story Viewer

This automated process promises to get your account’s handle plastered all over your target market’s story viewer lists.

It’s a great way to get noticed by potential new followers, though we doubt it would do any good, cause how many people click on every single account that viewed their story?

Whitelist

If you’re really set on using Kenji, there’s a way to minimize the risk of getting your account banned.

They have a feature called Whitelist that allows you to handpick which hashtags and accounts you want the bot to engage with.

It’s still not foolproof, but it’s better than nothing.

Auto Blacklist

We agree that manually blacklisting fake accounts and Instagram bots (oh, the irony) is a tedious task that anyone who is growing their social media has had to deal with.

It’s a neat feature that could potentially save some time, but Kenji takes it a step further by crafting a list of 10,000 “bad” keywords that it won’t interact with.

Hashtag targeting is vital in any social media, but with most at least you have the choice of what you see. Kenji takes away some of that control by choosing for you.

Kenji Pricing

We always appreciate a nice and simple pricing page, and Kenji’s is that.

The only issue we have is that the service doesn’t seem to be worth the price tag. If you’re looking for the right Instagram bot, there are plenty of others out there that are cheaper and just (if not more) as comprehensive.

Simple

Kenji Simple Plan
The first plan on offer is the “Simple”. It will set you back $49 per month and give you access to the most basic features including the Instagram bot, whitelist, and blacklist.

Pro

Kenji Pro Plan
The second plan is the “Pro”, and it will cost you $79 per month. With this, you get access to everything that the Simple plan offers plus a few more features.

Problem is that none of them are actually explained. Whatever “advanced” settings and “auto optimizations” are, they will be forever shrouded in mystery… At least until you cough us the required cash, we suppose.

The “Pro” plan also offers skip-the-queue access to customer support, which is meant to be an improvement over the “Simple” plan’s 24/5 access.

Is Kenji Safe for Your Instagram Account?

Probably not. Social media platforms are known to fight bots with fury, so when using Instagram growth services like Kenji, you are jeopardizing the safety of your business.

Does Kenji Work?

It could potentially work, but it is risky and not worth the price. If you are looking for an Instagram bot, we recommend you find one that is more transparent about its features and cheaper.

Is Kenji Legit?

From the information we uncovered, it is a registered company, but beyond that, we cannot vouch for its legitimacy.

Even though their website is protected by the HTTPS secure protocol we’d be very wary of giving up our credit card details.

Is Kenji A Scam?

Kenji Information
Quite possibly.

There are plenty of people accusing Kenji of being a scam, and we have found no evidence to refute those claims.

Frankly, the more we looked into this company, the more it seemed like a scam.

Bad Kenji Reviews On Trustpilot

Even though there are not that many reviews on Trustpilot, the ones that are there are overwhelmingly negative.

Out of 18 reviews, nearly 90% are negative.

Both of the positive reviews seem fake, and most of the negative reviewers say that Kenji is a waste of money and a scam.

Kenji Review Verdict

Kenji Main Feature
Based on our research, it seems like Kenji is not a company you can trust.

There are too many people accusing them of being a scam, and we have found no evidence to refute those claims.

The fact that there simply isn’t enough information on their website is also troubling.

Finally, even if Kenji turned out to be just one of the legit automation tools plagued by negative reviews, their engagement strategy is simply lacking and would likely not bring any real Instagram followers.

Either way, we don’t think Kenji is worth your time or money.
